Absolutely amazing. It’s been open since 1890 and now in its 5th/6th generation. The food is simple rustic and literally the best we had in all of Rome. Ask for a plate with the pork/cheese/vegetables/bread. It’s delicious. The wine is great too. Practice your Italian with the owner! He’s lovely!

You get what you order here so if you just order porchetta your sandwich is just going to have meat inside the bread. There’s no extras like cheese or veggies.

Fantastic sandwiches with Porchetta. I ordered the Porchetta Medium. Great midday meal for a fair price. Super friendly and nice service. Definitely a Rome feeling on a busy back street near the central. No credit cards accepted.

Read online that this place is great for a porchetta sandwich. Yes, it was good. The meat was nice and soft, but not really flavourful. Just a bit bland. It would be a better sandwich if the meat was warm and would have a bit of salt and pepper. The atmosphere was quite nice though. An older man sliced some meat by hand and put it on the bread. Felt really authentic. Note that cards are not accepted. Cash only.

Visited on recommendation from a tour guide who said the porchetta was the best in the city! absolutely delicious sandwich, the meat was unbelievable! Had a sandwich and a beer outside, perfect spot for a quick bite! Cash only, so make sure you have some!

If you are a real food lover this place is not optional. A beautiful slice of old rome tucked away and untouched. Kept in the family for generations serving the same deliciously simple pork with a few sides on request. This hole in the wall was my favorite part of Europe and a big part of why i will be returning ASAP!

I also loved the atmosphere, really not more than a hole in the wall, with five small tables, an old man reading the newspaper and looking like he's part of the furniture, the owner slicing a massive piece of meat to make your sandwich, a bit of attitude from him as you mumble some Italian to order... It was a great touchpoint before leaving Rome.

I was a kid, many decades ago. Passing by, I was about to enroll in the Army and with few Liras in the pocket. There were many taxi drivers in front, which guarantees the food is good, anywhere in the world. And I still remember it as one of the best panini of my life. Excellent pork sandwich… melted in our mouths. Bread was perfectly crispy yet chewy and soft. It was a perfect match with the house wine!! Five of us sat comfortably outside on a beautiful Rome afternoon in December while two of us sat inside. Friendly and quick service. Obviously a local favorite! Er Bruchetto is literally a hole in the wall. This room based little restaurant serves an amazing freshly carved sandwich. My daughter and I truly enjoyed meeting the owner/chef and devouring this delicious melt in your mouth sandwich. If you are ever in room and need a quick pick me up before the 3 o'clock espresso stop by this place.
